How do you know your CPU turns on?
the lights and the processor fan turn on thats it
Your full specs + PSU
Your full specs + PSU
Sounds like your PSU isn't giving enough power to the system. This sometimes happens to me since the electrical shit in my apartment is shotty at times. Are the fans running full blast non-stop? If so then that's most likely your problem. Either the PSU is busted or it just can't get enough power from the outlet. It happens sometimes.
Operating System Windows 7 home premuinum x64 Manufacturer MSI Processor AMD Athlon(tm) II X3 425 Processor Memory 4 GB Hard Drive 465.76 GB, ST3500418AS ATA Device Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 Monitor (Standard monitor types), Generic PnP Monitor Sound_card NVIDIA High Definition Audio Speakers/Headset Logitech G35 Keyboard Enhanced (101- or 102-key) Mouse USB Input Device i dont have the rest but in the psu is 650watts if it not the psu what else can it be?
The wattage of your psu seems to be ok, but maybe it's broken. Which brand is it? Try acquiring another psu with atleast 500watt or something and try again to find out whether it's your psu that is shitting itself. [editline]07:47PM[/editline] also make sure you connected everything well

Your motherboard also may have bit the dust. Try swapping out with a different PSU.
Have you got the case buzzer/speaker attached to the motherboard - are you getting any beeps when booting up?
Are all the fans running at 100% when you start it? That happened to me when I knocked the 8-pin processor power cable loose. It would start but everything would be at 100% and it wouldn't boot into BIOS. Check your cables.

Faulty GPU, is my bet. I've had this problem before, system boots up, fans spin etc then it shuts down, luckily for me I had a debug LED so I could tell what it was, try a different GPU if you can. As others said it could be the PSU too, if you don't have sufficent power to it then the GPU won't work obviously.
