• Recording Audio from Rocksmith 2014?

Ive been searching all around the internet for some way to record what Im playing in Rocksmith, but nothing seems to be working. I have the Realtone cable and can play the game fine, but if I use audacity and set the recorder to Stereo Mix and open up Rocksmith, it doesn't record anything. Its beginning to annoy me because it seems like a very simple thing and a lot of people have pulled it off successfully, but I cant. This is the tutorial I followed that works for most people. Im using windows 8. http://steamcommunity.com/app/221680/discussions/0/684839199559459937/#c684839199843310638
You have to make sure that Audacity records stereomix from the same sound device that outputs the Rocksmith sound
I have gotten it to half work. It turns out stereo mix only records if the sound is at a certain level, and anything below that doesnt get recorded. My issue now is to fix that, because I cant fade out notes as they just get cut off once they become quite.
What? Is there some sort of noise reduction filter or noise gate on?
Im really not sure what it is, but Ive read elsewhere that Stereo Mix just works like that. Its very annoying because it cuts out a lot of single notes.
It doesn't.
It doesn't.
Care to explain? Because its doing exactly as I said. It only picks up sounds when they are above a certain level.
I've bought a program before called Virtual Audio Cable It allows you to route audio from different lines like audio output to audio input lines like microphone Using this, you can run audio which would normally go to your speakers towards a new virtual microphone, which you would set in audacity as your microphone, and then record. There may be a free trial or something you could look into
