The problem I'm having is according to the internet service provider I should be able to get access to the internet by using this provided USB cord that connects one end to the modem and the other end to my computer through a usb port. Well I connected the cord and it asked for me to insert the cd provided which I did, However the cd doesn't seem to be reading and when I go to Computer and click on the drive it comes up as a blank disc that is write protected. Well it seems that all the disk provides is driver software so I looked it up and found the proper place from Motorola (The brand of modem) to download them. I have but there is nothing besides files which require to be unzipped so my guess is they need to be put in the correct folder, however I being semi computer illiterate have no idea where this folder is. To simply state, I am trying to get internet access by using the usb cord provided and can't seem to figure out why. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Don't know what information you need so I'll try to provide it for any questions. The modem I'm using is a "Motorola SURFboard SB5101 USB Cable Modem"
