• Software to write a video DVD

I need to make a video DVD that can be read on standard living room DVD players from a, AVI file. I don't mind converting the AVI file to other video formats, but I need an easy and free way to either make an video DVD iso, or directly burn a video DVD... Anybody know of a program that does this?
While i'd normally say use google, this stuff is usually if not always full of malware if it's free. Premiere Elements is like 75 AUD and does it great. Look for open source stuff if you can't afford it.
Thanks for the help... I ended up with DVD Flick : http://www.dvdflick.net/ It's open source and free with no ads or nags or malware (in fact, they don't claim money for this software at all). Did the job, just popped the DVD out the drive as I typed "Did". Edit : Worked flawlessly, case closed...
