Here's the scoop: I'm looking to upgrade my current CPU (Phenom x4 9550) to a Phenom II x4 955 in anticipation for Battlefield 3. I'm willing to sell my Phenom and/or an AM2+ motherboard (Foxconn RS780) in order to obtain the dough necessary for my upgrade. I figured you H&S boys should get first choice after all I've learned from you guys. Each item is in full working condition, and will be properly packaged. I would prefer to keep shipping inside the U.S. If you are interested, PM me or make it known on here. I will keep a list of people who have shown interest and contact them when I am ready to sell, which might be awhile. Details on the items below. I have this thing overclocked from the stock 2.2 Ghz to 2.75 Ghz, although my temps never have exceeded 48 degrees Celcius under full load. It has served me faithfully for a long time and has years of hard work left. If you've been looking to get into the Quad club this is a perfect introduction. I'll give you the stock cooler too. It doesn't have many bells or whistles, but it does get the job done. It is DDR2, so any of you socket 775 holdouts can just chuck your stuff in this thing and roll on down the road. Check the specs though, your RAM might get underclocked because it only runs to 800 Mhz. This thing doesn't have any options for overclocking either, so bear that in mind. All items are in good shape, and perfectly functional order. Thoughts?
110$ is just too much for a random motherboard and that old CPU
one of the most minimal motherboards there is and a really garbage CPU (both used) for $110 or buy a 9950 new for $80 and get a terrible motherboard the only reason anyone would buy from you is to help you out, you need more of a reason than that to get it sold
Fair enough. What would you guys say would be a decent price?
I'll pay $2.
You could probably get 110$ for it on craigslist or something.
I'll pay $2.
THREE DOLLARS!
Sell it for $70-80, then you might actually get some offers..
THREE DOLLARS!
THREE POUNDS!
I like how he tried to make them sound like a worthwhile buy. Not many people here will pay for really old hardware, and why don't you just save it or upgrade a family members pc?

Maybe he could donate it to some poor deserving person on FP that's stuck with an ancient P4 that really needs an upgrade.
Either way IDK anyone who's hunting for an AM2 so it's best to craigslist it or sell it to family for like $50.
