I am having driver problems on Ubuntu. I know I have a nividia video card, and when I go install them from the "System Settings" menu only one shows up even though I have installed several of them. It has also changed my resolution to the lowest setting (640 x 480) and it is the only setting. None of the problems occured until I was directed to restart the computer after installing one of the drivers the first time. I am not sure if I need to uninstall the drivers or they are the wrong ones. Thanks to anyone who can provide me with help.
System specifications?, ubuntu version?, Install procedure?.

Dimension E520, 12.04, and I'm not sure what that means. It only gave me two options, demo install and full install.
That isn't descriptive enough, looks like you're installing the drivers from a CD, means it's they're likely outdated, if your videocard is newer than the Geforce 8xxx series you should install the new drivers from the website and try your luck, if that doesn't work you may have to use a custom EDID to get your monitor's native video mode to work.
