• Games keep crashing on my PC every time I play after about 15 minutes.

This has never happened to me before while playing games but recently after about 15 minutes of playing, my PC crashes, makes a weird sound through my speakers and my moniter goes on standby. I've checked to see if my Graphics card is fitted in fine and it is, i've also tried re-installing the drivers which also hasn't worked. Can anyone please explain to me what's going on here? I have "Left 4 Dead 2" and it's pissing me off so much that i can't play it. My Specs are as follows: Processor - Intel Core 2 Quad CPU Q6600 2.40GHz RAM - 4.00GB OS - Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit Graphics Card - nVidia GeForce 9800 GT 512MB
If a sound is coming from the speakers when you crash, it makes me suspect a sound card failure or just a overall failure. Post your specs.
Is the sound the last thing you heard repeated very quickly? That happens when I overclock my graphics card too much - try dropping graphics card speeds or turn the fan up and see what happens.
Sounds like overheating to me. Dust it out.
Post temps when you play for 5 mins. http://www.cpuid.com/hwmonitor.php

Have you been messing with the processor lately? Also does the vista experience( that damn thing with the rating) crash?

It's alright guys, I know what's wrong now. It's just decided to begin overheating after about 6 months of nothing going wrong with it... but i'm gonna buy a graphics card cooler soon. Thanks for all of your suggestions and advice though. It's much appreciated.
