No. Bought a physical copy on the 360 which I then traded in at some point, got the Wii U bundle, and then digitally once it became BC on the Xbone.
oh
Hopefully the second game will be ported on PC one day

This is a Sega published game, B2 is published by Nintendo. Are there any originally Nintendo published games available on Steam ? Has Nintendo ever published anything on PC in its entire history ? First Nintendo needs to lose its rights to the game and then it has to be picked up by another publisher to re-release it. It's not impossible, but highly unlikely. It all comes to the publishing contract between Platinum Game and Nintendo.

Mario Teaches Typing comes to mind.

As we all know, a classic Mario game.

Never going to happen. Hideki Kamiya even said once: "Imagine asking for Zelda to come to Xbox or Mario to Playstation".

Well it would boost their sales. Their last 2 consoles (not counting the Switch) sold poorly and the library of games for them remained small

Bayonetta 2 also managed to sell worse than Bayonetta 1 as a direct result of its exclusivity deal and that gap is only going to widen now that the game's out on PC.

Last two consoles include the Wii and Wii U. The Wii did fine.

Well, the Wii U didn't sell over 10 million times when Bayo 2 was developed for it so of course it would sell less. But it also wouldn't exist in the first place if it wasn't an exclusive deal since Nintendo paid for everything.

And now that it's on a dead console why not port it to its "competitors" and make more money off it?

Nintendo Switch exclusive remastered version of course

Robotnik said it already. They have all their rights to it and can do whatever they want with it. But as they own Zelda they will use it to push their own console sales. So a Switch remastered version is the most logical case.
Guess this marks the death of Capcom's Devil May Cry franchise?
From where I'm standing, Capcom seems more intent on sitting on the intellectual property rights while PlatinumGames has proven that they don't need it to further develop on DMC's format.
I'm hoping this surge in porting games to PC inspires other developers to revisit their console exclusives. There's some absolute gems made by developers like Namco the PC market could do with.

Another benefit to doing this would be to test the market to see if abandoned franchises are worth reviving.
I heard I should buy this game.
True?
