I hope they develop a new inventory UI aswell, ArmA's one can be quite annoying at times when you're in a hurry, which brings to mind the scroll-wheel action menu aswell

Changing the UI was one of Rocket's top priority. I would be shocked if it wasn't radically different.
Cool, I'm really excited for it, and the release of ArmA 3 this year hopefully
I know people will disagree with me but I feel like they shouldn't reuse Chenarus with minor changes such as building interiors it makes the game feel cheap in my honest opinion

Here are some changes they are making to Chernarus: - Making many more buildings enter-able, so places like Cherno/Elektro dont just feel like some blocks sticking out of the floor - Redesigning all the building interiors, adding more furniture and changing them in a way that loot can be realistically placed - Changing the layout of some areas to make them more interesting and create new situations - Adding more landmarks/interesting spots which indicate something happened before the game (Plane crash like seen in article, etc) - Improving textures + models. I'm hoping they will add more foliage and trees, I recall him saying settings are enforced server side, which if I am correct you could see servers that force higher graphics settings, such as high foliage etc, meaning those with low graphics cant see people hiding in foliage miles away/ I thought it would be the Arma III map and was sad when it wasnt, but I think they are really going to improve Chernarus and make it much more suitable for the game than in Arma II. Rocket also confirmed that they plan to add a large map that is centered around a big city, probably after they are finished getting all their planned features in, though.

I hope the do a namalsk style map though, namalsk is cool
