So I've got an extra $300 to upgrade my PC this Christmas, right now I've got 2gb of ram, a 17' monitor and a 2.8ghz dual core processor, those are the three areas I plan on improving. www.newegg.ca That's what I use, so far I've only been able to get it to $371, that's $71 too much, here are what's gotten me there; Monitor http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824254035 RAM http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231121 CPU http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103706 I'm wondering if getting a quad core is even nessesary? Should I just upgrade to a dual with more ghz?
Better monitor that's the same price after rebate. http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824236050 What are you going to be using your computer for? I don't know why both of you suggested a processor that is nigh identical to the one I already have.
Can we have your exact specs please? As in cpu model number, motherboard, gpu model, etc...
I think I'm just going to drop the RAM, which is $316 total, 2gb of ram will do me fine until I can find $50 after Christmas.

They're just perfect for low-end to low-mid-end gaming. [editline]03:44PM[/editline] It's a good CPU. I just ordered one for myself.
