• RapidFire Mod - Controller only works on my PC now...

Figured I'd post here because this should belong more in technical support than in Xbox 360, so mods if you feel otherwise, lock it. I recently completed the rapid fire mod following these instructions: http://www.instructables.com/id/Done/ However, to my dismay I discovered that the controller will power on the console, but the ROL does not show that the controller is connected and then the controller won't do anything beyond that. BUT, when I plug it in to my PC, I can play games like fallout 3 and stuff just fine with it. Also, when the console is off, pushing the rapid fire button lights up the 4th quadrant in the ROL on the controller. THIS IS A WIRED CONTROLLER Should I attempt to resolder the connections for the momentary push button? I cannot provide pics due to a lack of camera. However I have made the connections, and am 100% positive they are correct. Why would it turn the console on otherwise? It just doesn't respond after that. Thanks!
You must have soldered it wrong. Are you sure nothing is making contact that shouldn't?

I tested it in a compatible game with the controller open and when I pull the wires back and push the button on the rapidfire button, it BAM! rapidfires. I'm gonna resolder that connection.
I was thinking that there might be contact with a component that 'registers' the controller with the Xbox.

sad. if you can't fire fast in the first place then fuck off and don't ruin the game for others.
