• Is the free world at odds with Islamic extremism and terrorism?

For the purposes of this thread, the phrase "free world" will refer to developed nations that are aligned with the United States and NATO. For example: Australia, Canada, most of Europe, Israel, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, etc. Nobody is saying that the free world has anything against moderate Muslims. With that being said, do you believe that the free world is "at war" or "at odds" with extremist groups, such as al-Qaeda, Hamas, the Islamic State and others?
Since you specified it as extremism and terrorism, I don't see how anyone could say otherwise.
Since you specified it as extremism and terrorism, I don't see how anyone could say otherwise.
I'm mostly asking the question to study whether or not there is conflict between the free world and Islamic extremists. It sounds silly, but when you consider how many Sensationalist Headlines posters on this forum think that America and other allied countries are "pure evil" and "have no business defending Kurdistan from ISIS," then a poll like this could be invaluable.
Most of the European and North American free world is at odds with Islamic terrorism since it is a world threat that has been causing further disruption in the Middle East, including oil production - the most important thing to many free world countries. As for Islam in general, France and Britain have their own motives due to heavy migration and displacement of Muslims to their respective land.
