That was the biggest failing of the Shield by far. Even if you wanted one it was a fucking fortune to buy if you did not have the right cards.

Nvidia is actually working on something at the moment much in the same vain of On Live. It's called the Nvidia Grid. It allows you to stream games from any wifi to your shield (though results my vary depending on location, strength and bandwith). I have yet to test it with my shield seeing as it's in beta and only on the west coast at the moment. But if it works the way they hope it does that will be very exciting! Oh, and at the moment you can stream your games through the internet to another wifi spot else where, but of course that depends on your upload, their download and various other things.
Goddamn it, I don't want a console. I want a box to accommodate my already high-end hardware so I can stream my PC games to the television out in the living room.
