Hi,
I get an fps spike problem whenever I play Bad Company 2 after a few minutes, and only in this game.

It looks to me as if my graphics card shuts itself off for a few seconds to drop a few celsius then goes back to normal. The odd thing is is that I can play similarly demanding games on my pc like GTA4 and Starcraft 2 with no problems at all, and this problem still persists even if I turn everything down to the lowest settings. Also, inbetween the fps spikes the game runs at a steady 60fps. I have already cleaned the fan and I leave the case of my computer open for maximum ventilation, but it still doesn't have that much room to breathe because it's a couple of inches away from the bottom of the case. Is there anything I can do short of getting a new case?
what case do you have?
A packard bell istart f9130 AIO. This is the best picture I could find:

It's from a few years ago and is probably too small for all the new parts I've put in. When I first got it it didn't even have a graphics card.
If there's any grills on the side panel near the gpu, I bet putting a fan there blowing cool air in would do wonders.
