Im headed to singapore for ~10 days. ill basically be on my own and free to walk where-ever. This is my first time going so I wanted to ask facepunch if there are any good places to see or eat or do anything.
I have heard that the metro is pretty much a requirement to go anywhere, so I will look into if i can get a tourist pass or whatever.
but any other ideas?

Though I am aware there is plenty of tourism sites with suggestions online, I wanted to ask anyones particular experiences if they live or visited there.
im in a little bit of a struggle since I am going with my dad who has a job there. so essentially I leave with him in the morning, and am stuck out in the city until his shift ends at nighttime so I can go back to his apartment.
I think I might go check out the tech malls though
You should definitely try the local hawker food here. When will you be coming over? If you are interested, maybe I could show you around for a day provided I don't have anything else on. Also how old are you?

Im currently 19, so i am able to go around (i am aware of Singapores strict laws).
And really, thanks for the offer for taking me around. However, i am pretty unsure about my schedule, my father may have a conference in Tokyo he may need to attend at some random point, which means i may be pulled away at any time (amoung other things, his job involves him traveling om short notice) So I rather not make plans and promises that I cant keep.
But thanks for offering! Ill keep an eye out for the hawker food you mentioned.
The airport is supposed to be a great place. They have a butterfly garden, cheap spas where you can get massages, and free movies.
