that's not 8 bit it's not even 16 bit
that's not 8 bit it's not even 16 bit
It's ~8-bit~
Laziness-corrupted nostalgia-bit
Didn't Gotze score with his right foot? Also, these are incredibly stiff.
Apparently pixel art is 8-bit art now.
that's not 8 bit it's not even 16 bit
It's the indie game version of 8-bit.
8 bit is "art"
Slow news day BBC?
It's the indie game version of 8-bit.
It's not even purely pixel art.
Ok, this is definitely one of those articles that I can safely ask: How is this classified as news? Who reports something so small as someone drawing pixel art? It's not new or anything.
Apparently pixel art is 8-bit art now.
Anything pixel-centric is dubbed 8-bit it's awful but also perhaps it's equally lame to get so distraught over it I guess
the art is lazily done anyway
people need to remember 8 bit and 16 bit were not ART STYLES they were technological limitations in games, NES games all have their own unique art-style, however but that doesn't make 8 bit itself an "Art style", far from it, even if it does well in certain games.
They kinda look like pixelated children's drawings.
Of course 8 bit is a style. Just like modern movies done in B&W is a style choice that once was a limitation. It does not define the art style entirely but it is a huge part of a style.
"8-bit" style
guys actually read the article before shitting on it the first line says it's in the style of 8-bit for fucks sake
guys actually read the article before shitting on it the first line says it's in the style of 8-bit for fucks sake
But it does not look 8bit. There's anti-aliasing and everything. That's not how 8bit works
But it does not look 8bit. There's anti-aliasing and everything. That's not how 8bit works
And? It says 8bit style. To anyone the BBC is writing the article for, 8bit style basically means pixel art
And? It says 8bit style. To anyone the BBC is writing the article for, 8bit style basically means pixel art
That does not make it okay
That does not make it okay
if the majority of people think that '8bit style' means pixel art, I'm afraid that's what the word comes to mean
If they were going to report about pixel art they could have at least reported about GOOD pixel art.
It isn't even good looking pixel art, what a joke.

jesus get over the 8-bit thing
It isn't even good looking pixel art, what a joke.
Public doesn't know better so it's good
Funny you say that because a lot of modern movies that choose to go B&W ignore a lot of the other limitations of the B&W era, they just turn on the black and white filter and call it a day.
There's nothing funny in what I said. B&W is not tied to other limitations in same way pixel art isn't compared to 8-bit art. What they are showing is pixel art but not 8bit kind. Same way a movie using black and white filter is just that unless they're calling it retro classic or some shit.
