I don't really care if its a standalone microphone or attached to a headset, I just need a good mic that I can use to talk to my friends on skype and voice chat over multiplayer games and such, maybe do a few voice recordings for some stuff. -Needs to be under $100 CAD. -Can be bought on the internet or at retail. Thanks for your help guys.
Logitech USB Microphone I got one of these recently and it is very clear. If you don't need a headset one you have a lot of choices, but just let me say STAY AWAY FROM LAPEL MICS. Lapel mics are the kind you put on a shirt collar, they need you to talk far to loudly into them and are overly expensive. Get a standard 3.5mm or USB microphone on a stand.
My friend has one of those, I think. Said it picks up his voice from across the room. BUT. Do NOT go for a logitech clear chat unless you go for the wireless USB. I've had two corded USB ones, and I tend too accidentally run over the cords, and the mic dies easily. If you want a good reliable headset, go for the Logitech Clearchat WIRELESS Usb, if a desk mic, go for the one the guy above linked too.
