I'm looking for a decent gaming pc in this price range, something that will run games on decent specs (Nothing too crazy like BF3, maybe able to run guild wars 2 on mid specs smoothly.) Is this possible? I have a mac book pro laptop for school right now but it is shit with games, as to be expected. I don't want to spend too much on parts either, and my friend is good at building computers, but I just wanted some other feedback.
What all do you need? OS, mouse & keyboard, monitor? Anything reusable like a hard drive? Also what country are you in?

US, already have a mouse, probably will use a TV as a monitor (may run 2 monitors though,) keyboard and os not in final price.
This will probably run bf3 on low/medium.

except replace the PSU with this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151093.
I wouldn't suggest using a TV as a monitor as they don't look good at all up close.
A friend just recommended me getting an SSD, do I need a HDD still with one?
Why would you get an SSD for a $600 budget build, the cheapest one worth getting would be 64gb and that alone sets you back $60. After you throw on an OS and get everything going, then pagefile (which is the same amount as your RAM) would take another 8gb of that. So now imagine you have a new computer with the OS loaded up, then realize you're already missing half of your storage space with enough left over for MAYBE 3 games.
ya I didn't know that about an SSD, I probably won't get that for a while then
What's the advantage of hvaing the Z77 chipset > P67? P67 should be fine, save money on mobo too and allows for SLI / xFire in the future... ?
This is my build that my friend recommended

Z77 has the pcie 3.0 lanes, more usb 3.0 support, support for k series cpus, and a few other things.
and p8p67 doesnt support k series?
and p8p67 doesnt support k series?
Yes it does. I don't know what he meant by Z77 having support for k series as an improvement since p67 does it too. Just as a note. Native PCI-E 3.0 and USB 3.0 won't work with the i3-21xx that you'll likely be buying in this price range. But they will work if you ever decide to upgrade to an ivy bridge chip.

Ah yes, my mistake, I thought he said h67, where you can't overclock.
