• Simple Build for my dad.

Just looking for some final advice on this purchase, [img]http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16004724/Build.jpg[/img] He'll basically just be using it mostly for web browsing, emails, movies, and the occasional Flight Simulator. It's pretty much a carbon copy of my current setup, just with a different Case, PSU, and Optical Drive. I reckon I'll just give him my current GPU, being the GTX 460 768mb, and just upgrade mine in the process. So basically is there anything I should change over, or am I all set? Cheers
Take the Phenom II X4 955 instead, still the same thing for less expensive. What is the PSU inside the case?
Just the standard 500w ATX PS2 / EPS 12V according to the website.

Ahh fuck, sorry.
I'd get the cheapest reasonable CPU you can, and get an SSD for $100. MSY has a few 64gb at around $115 IIRC. Your dad will probably notice the SSD improvement more than the difference between a cheap and midrange CPU. [editline]6th June 2011[/editline] PC case gear has a 60gb at $129 [editline]6th June 2011[/editline] For 4 bucks more you can get 1600MHz ram, not sure if that's worth it to you, but it's a bit of an increase I suppose.
ram speed doesnt make a difference but the ssd is an interesting idea
