Computer crashes to black monitor, no signal received

Hi sorry to bother, but I've been having this problem for a while now. Whenever I play something even slightly demanding (played some Far Cry 3 recently for an example) my computer freezes after a couple minutes of play, the audio really fucks up for a second or two and then the monitor goes black to a "no signal received" message. The PC doesn't restart but the screen stays black, there's no audio and nothing I do will bring it back to windows. Decided to run stress tests on cpu and ram just to make sure, nothing came up. Then I tried FurMark and it crashed more or less the same as when playing a game, so I thought it might be an overheating issue. Tried it again and monitored my gpu temperature, but I only got to 70c before it crashed once more. I have no idea what the issue is if it isn't the temperature, so any help would be much appreciated!

Idle temps for the gpu are around 35c while the cpu stays at 42c ish or so. Load temps for the gpu are mentioned above, though it has gotten above 80c at one stage.
I have updated my graphics drivers but all to no avail.
I have this issue, as well. I have it when playing Skyrim at times, and I usually can fix it by turning the monitor off and on again a few times. It's tedious, but a fix.

Turns out it might've been overheating after all. I just need to run MSI afterburner and put my gpu fan speed on max while I'm playing something, plus have a desk fan blowing at full speed into the pc. Temps now staying below 70c at load and no freezes or crashes or anything. If it happens again though at these temperatures, ill definitely try this, thanks for the reply!
