As the title says.
Id really like to move to Canada. How much different is it from Sweden, I'm thinking of taxes, gas prices and prices over all.
Don't go here, we are turning into the USA.
Stay over seas, its boring over here on the west side of the ocean.
Tax here is something around 15%GST iirc
And gas is something like 1.35-1.40$/L
also, Film is right, wait for harper to leave
Gas is pretty expensive. I don't know what it is in Sweden.
I am pretty sure in Alberta there isn't a government tax. A couple of provinces have some strange tax laws, I forget what though. Most of the provinces keep it at 12% tax.
Prices are pretty much identical to the United States, I think. Depends on where you are.
Canada is pretty much the USA but with more greenery, less people lives there but that's not really noticeable if you live in the big cities.
I know in Quebec, the taxes are crazy high, they're 15% and you have to pay bunch of other shit ontop of that.
Gas is expensive too, and you get fucked in the ass if you want to order anything that doesn't come from Canada, atleast I regularly have to pay shipping that's like three times the price of what I'm ordering (Which I actually never buy because screw this shit, I'll find it in some local shop).
I haven't lived in the USA but I go there often, I wouldn't say it's very different compared to the USA but it's still definitely a decent place to live. It's mostly different on the sides and similar to the USA at the core.
As mentionned though, we're turning into USA 2.0 because of the current government
the CN tower is overrated
js
Canada is "okay" if you like to pay taxes
You're not welcome here
Not worth leaving Sweden for Canada.
If you really want to come, move to BC. Tax rates 12%, soon to be reduced. Also gas is only 1.30/L here!
Why does OP want to leave Sweden?
Seems like a pretty chill place from what I've heard.
I would also like to do like Zovox, but for just a year or so. I also live in Sweden, and from what I read here: the tax and gas is cheaper. In Sweden, the tax before pay is at 35% and then some more taxes on that. The gas is almost 2 Canadian Dollars at places. The biggest problem is this Harper guy. I talk to Canadians on a chatprogram often and they tell me how mad Harper is with the military and all. But is he such a big problem outside of the military stuff? And exactly how mad is he with the military?

*26%, unless you own companies and yada yada.
If your moving to Canada, don't come to Quebec. It's downright terrible and it only gets slightly better if you live in an urban area around Montreal. if you are coming, go to the west coast.

honestly, he backs up his military schemes but for some reason i never seem to see anything actually happen. we were supposed to have like 25 f-18s made or something and they decided to cancel them to spend it on education or some other problem we have.
Don't come here, its cold, your always fighting polar bears for fish and those yanks keep coming up from the south talking strangely and bringing strange ideals with them
weird, my friend was just staying in sweden for a few months. if I hear any relevant comparisons from him I'll tell you. except apparently your women up there are overall just on a higher level than ours.
also go to victoria it's beautiful there. vancouver is too but it's actually pretty much too expensive to live unless you're rich. and fuck the lower mainland. and other provinces.
Wow, your tax is crazy low compared to Sweden!
Sounds pretty good so far, what about life, house and car insurances? And who is this Harper guy you guys seem to dislike so much?

And what about driving license, would I have to get a new one?
Just remember to prepare for your mandatory maple syrup injections if you get citizenship
Oh god haha. At first I read "I want to move to Canada, I'm thinking of Texas." and I was just thinking for a moment... "WHAT AN IDIOT"
then..... I found myself to be in the idiot position. :smith:
Oh, and IF I move. it will probably be a few years from new, since I have to work for some many, finish school and shit first.

Ninjas everywhere
dont plan on eating if you wanna get a phone plan..... its expensive!!!
edit; on a more serious note
harper is the prime minister of canada, gas costs a lot like the states, phone plans costs alot, and it really depends on where you live, Toronto is suppose to be one of the best cities in the world, i live there myself, if you speak french take a look at quebec (mostly a french area), and vancouver is the best part of canada(awesome weather and enviroment). can you be more specific about what you wanna do in canada?
Move to alberta if you do
only 5% taxes
Come live in northwestern Ontario, we'll be bros.
