If its crap, then yeah.
Pull a MW4 out of the hat and oh shit are you in for no money...

IIRC it was confirmed, as the voice actor of Cpt. Price spilled the beans about Infinity Ward asking him to come back for a sequel
I wonder if the MG4 will be in MW4 :v

wasn't that later said to not be true?
imo modern warfare had a pretty good story, nothing JJ Abrams level but fucking fantastic for an action movie
I don't understand why everyone holds it up to all the wrong categories when they shit on it, like it was supposed to be some thought-provoking masterpiece; if you treat it as what it is it's perfectly fine even if you don't like the 'thoughtless action' genre
and I for one would be interested in a storyline set either 15 years into the future or 25 years into the past with character from the modern warfare series, tons and tons of good areas to explore creatively

Everyone dies.
[editline]9th February 2013[/editline]
I can see them doing something like Black Ops 2 if they do continue Captain Price.

CoD4 was fantastic when it came out because nobody'd done the things they did with a cinematic experience and story before.
But now it's everywhere and it's not at all original anymore
Not surprising.
No surprise, it's probably typical IW-style copy/pasting, by now people are finally sick of that, BlackOps 2 owed plenty of its sales to the fact it finally tried something new, if "CoD 2013" doesn't expand on the changes Blops 2 did then it's going to fall short.

I think especially if they go with the Modern Warfare 4 name or brand. I think at that point they will finally jump the shark and a good chunk of people will just throw their hands in the air and wait for an actual development from Infinity Ward on the level of CoD4 again.
I have to buy it just to say I bought it.
People do realise that IW doesn't actually make CoD anymore? They didn't even make MW3.
MW3 was incredibly shit because it was thrown together by Activision's backup studios after IW jumped ship.

Sledgehammer games was also on the project aswell.
IW made it but this is a different IW. Most of the original IW left.
I don't know how they're going to do another MW game.
The ending to 3 seemed pretty final and wrapped everything up.

So did the first MW.

Still gonna sell better than any game being released this year. Just like all the other COD games.
In my experience, a lot of the casual crowd is simply moving on to open-world games. AC, Skyrim, and BF3 (for its expansive battles) are all huge with casual gamers right now.
CoD is fun for them but it just ends up feeling too small and restrictive. Casual gamers don't just want adrenaline, they also want to play games that assure them that their hardwork is rewarded. Skyrim does that; CoD doesn't. Even if you're shit at Skyrim, you'll still level up. But in CoD, if you're shit, your KD is going to reflect that.

That fucking nuke scene man.
Damn.

Poor Gaz... :'(
Well gee, totally did not see that coming.
Honestly, if your going to pitch the same thing over and over and over again it is going to get stale, people are going to get bored, and lastly, you will lose just about everyone's interest.
Can we just stop giving them names and label them by year

I bought MW3 solely for the campaign. I barely played the multiplayer since it was just so disgusting. I thoroughly enjoyed the MW campaign though.
