Star Citizen's pretty unfinished still, but at least we have confirmation of working multiplayer with it. :v:
just now working FPS too, alpha style.
they must really like getting disappointed
Joke's on you, I have both and play neither.
I tried SC once. Cinematic 25 fps on lowest settings. I've got a new GPU now, so maybe I'll think about trying again.
What's the point of this article? Aside from getting clickbait for NMS drama and jerking off SC? Every day is slow news day at PCGamer it seems.

Hope they're not setting themselves up for disappointment. When Star Citizen is finished, the gameworld will be so big that the chances of finding their friends is pretty much zero.

Considering SC already has multicrew ships and tracking players at a distance (outlaws with the highest wanted level gain a nav marker signifying their public enemy status, visible anywhere in the Crusader map space), I have a feeling they'll have ways of finding both friends and enemies. Planets will be scaled down by 1:4 or so, and spatial distances are 1:10 scale to reduce the amount of time flying in boring straight lines between places. Planets will still be plenty huge but things should be a bit more manageable at the reduced scales.
Ok...so my joke failed, got it.
Ok...so my joke failed, got it.
I figured it was a joke, but it wouldn't have been the first time I saw someone completely clueless about what SC's trying to do -- and that includes SC backers. :v:
Both Star Citizen and Elite: Dangerous could be the best shit ever made but they both still have a pretty lengthy roadmap to go
