Hey, I'm looking into building a new computer, all I need is the Tower and monitor that can play new release games. I have no preference for brands I just want something as high-spec as it can go for that price tag. Please use this site as I live close enough to pick up the parts: http://www.pccasegear.com This is the build my friend and I have put together so far http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=wish_lists&wlcId=16357&action=wish_lists
Your friends link doesn't work mate. I'll put you a build together! Build: Monitor: BenQ G2420HD 24 Inch Widescreen LCD Monitor - $169.00 CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K - $219.00 RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 - $65.00 Mobo: ASRock H67M-GE Motherboard B3 - $99.00 Case: CoolerMaster HAF 912 Advanced - $115.00 PSU: Silverstone Strider Plus 600W ST60F-P - $99.00 GPU: PowerColor Radeon HD6870 1GB - $169.00 HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 500GB WD5002AALX - $65.00 DVD: LG GH22NS70 22x SATA DVD-RW Drive OEM - $25.00 Total: $1025
Basically what I had was: MSI GeForce GTX 560 Ti Hawk 1GB LG E2341V-BN 23inch LED Widescreen Monitor Xigmatek Asgard Pure Black Edition Silverstone Strider Plus 600W ST60F-P Lite-On IHAS324 24x DVDRW Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB HD103SJ Gigabyte GA-990FXA-D3 Motherboard AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition G.Skill Ripjaws F3-10666CL9D-4GBRL (2x2GB) DDR3 That came to about $960.
Spend a tad more and get a better performing system overall. Try not to skimp on cpu/ram, as it's more convenient to add additional hard drives etc later on. How much would you consider to be a tad more?
Probably the 1200 mark.
What would you recommend me do with the extra 200 dollars?
Just a beefier GPU really.
