• Should I buy Halo 3: ODST?

I am not sure, the game seems very interesting playing as a different character, also having awesome little scenes where you drop in a drop pod, and overall niceness, but I need FP's opinion since I am not so sure if it is worth it since I will be probably play the campaign, so I don't want to be disappointed if the story is complete shit.
wait for reach?
It's pretty awesome, some of the cut scenes are just awesome, and there's a pretty good story. If you're expecting squad play you'll probably be disappointed as most of it is just you by yourself. Plus it comes with the Halo 3 multiplayer disc with all the DLC's.
If you know you can buy Reach, then do it
its good buy it then get reach
NO. YOU SHOULD NOT. Dude, wait for Reach, it'll be nice. ODST was awful.
I would wait for the price to drop. Then again I'm pretty cheap.
ODST wasn't worth the trouble, but the multi player disc and multi player beta invitation was. Although ODST has some pretty epic cut scenes, the story is terrible.
If your a big Halo fan and you dont have the multiplayer map packs then yes.
It was ok, it was not the best, but it was different. I would wait for reach, It is not worth buying now... Inb4 halo h8terz
If you don't have Halo 3 sure go ahead.
I had ODST, but my internet died exactly in time for the Reach beta. :saddowns:
just get reach when it comes out, the single player is gonna be so much better, ODST's single player is really short and kinda disappointing.
Am I the only one that genuinely liked the campaign?
Am I the only one that genuinely liked the campaign?
Yes.
Get one of your friends to loan you ODST. That's what I'm going to do :D
I always liked the singleplayer of the Halo games. ODST was a massive disappointment to me though. Yeah, just wait for Reach.
Just wait till next Tuesday for Halo Reach.
Am I the only one that genuinely liked the campaign?
Nope. It did feel very scratchy though. They should have either made the cutscene-starting objects a little more easy to find, or just made the campaign compliantly linear. That wold have made it way better. I sent half of of the time on my first play-though finding them.
Dude. 7 days. Reach.
I thought ODST was pretty fun. The campaign was pretty short, but it was great fun, and even though it is a short story, you can probably replay it a couple times because it really is great.
ODST was WAY overhyped. Wait for reach.
personally i didnt care for the campaign, but its good if your into achievement hunting. But i would wait for reach, seems it wouldnt be worth your time anyway because reach has firefight in it as well.
Wait for Reach.
Reach will be better.
I liked the campaign. You start out as Rookie after most of the story has taken place and view the flash backs of your squad members as you explore the city. Also it comes with Halo 3 MP with all the DLC.
Yes, you should. It's a good play, lovely atmosphere, awesome music, if you like classical style.
I might just rent this game instead then.
ODST is bad for many reasons: 1.Your not Master Chief 2.Your always in the same enviroment 3.You are just an ODST and your not as special as Master Chief 4.Its confusing and very dark scenery 5.Nothing really new apart from a Silenced SMG So just wait for Reach, its going to be the best Halo yet I reckon.
