I love the Arma series, hopefully this will get more people playing it as it still isn't as well known as some of the larger titles.
Is this only the multiplayer for Arma II or OA?

Looking at the video I don't see anything from OA.
That's pretty WinRAR

It's the singleplayer with only vanilla ArmA 2 content with no mod support and apparently lowered graphics. And no pre-made missions or campaigns, but those aren't that great anyway.

Eagle wing campaign was amazing.
Just last month I bought 2 copies of it purely so my brother and I could play some MP, then this.
Ah well, they deserved the money.
basically arma 2's multiplayer on low with nothing else but the mission editor
and you know, free and all.
If its something like the lite versions of the DLCs then.. Nah.

There is multiplayer and you can play with people who have arma2, no mod support, but there are plenty of vanilla servers still.
It's arma2 without mod support basically

Which is like playing alone, basically.
But will it run on my computer, even on low? :smith:
It can run Crysis on medium just fine, but Crysis 1 is kind of dated now.
I've never been good at the Arma campaigns, so this sounds awesome to me.

It might, idk if it's just my crysis but on all high it only runs at 80-100 fps while arma 2 all high I get 180-200fps (demo btw and apparently people have said that the demo was really unoptimized)
Also since it should be way better optimized than the demo and it doesn't let you have full graphics then I guess you should be able to run it fine. Also besides it's going to be a free download so what do you have to lose by downloading it and trying it.

Bandwidth and my monthly download cap.
Cool i'll get my friends to play this now
I just bought this...
I just bought this...
At least you can use the content in OA now. Including the missions.
I just bought this...
You bought the dumbed-down version? Why
Well thats nice. I really wanted Arma 2 for the Bay City Police mode.
Now my dreams have come true.

Except that you can't use any mods with this.
you're fucking kidding me
that's basically £20 down the drain for me seeing as I bought it the other week

This free version of the game doesn't have mod support. Your dreams haven't come true.

This post and your avatar lead me to believe you're between the ages of 13 and 15.
Wow i feel bad for pira... i mean not buying Arma II. Think i'm gonna buy it now just to support friendly developers like them.

No it isn't. You have mod support.
No point in ARMA or Flashpoint without mods.
At least they left stuff out in a way that doesn't kill the experience for the f2pers yet doesn't make those of us who bought it feel like we wasted a load of money.
