I never see or hear of these, maybe because of the price. But after getting one I realized it can be very useful, and an overall new experience for using a computer. Hold a pen to browse through sites is a neat experience, it has all 3 mouse buttons.
Who else has one of these, or any questions?

(mine^)
Hell yeah.
I have a Wacom Intuos3 <3
Wacom is the only good one, why are those shit tablets in the OP?

Then you're not looking. This forum, and the creative section especially is loaded full of tablets, most are good tablets. Wacom, not off-brand junk.

I've used both Wacom and Genius, they seem the same to me.
I've got one, it's pretty neat.
One of the smaller sizes though.

You'll be hard pressed to find anyone who'll agree with that around here, most people here who have tablets at least have a Bamboo.
I have an Intuos 2 myself.
Notebooks ftw!
I got two Wacom Digitizer II's for my macs and a Wacom Intuos for my SGI.
They are really nice tablets and short of now defunct Calcomp and Summa, they are pretty much the best tablet makers out there.
Wacom Bambooo here, using it now.
Use it to browse the web..?
I have an old Wacom Pen-Partner from 98, still fully functional. Never use it though because I don't have the right ports for it on my PC. :saddowns:
I use a Wacom Bamboo, great and cheap as well.
It's not very intuitive to use though for anything other than creative applications like photoshop/sandbox/etc
Wacom does make a quality product, even their cheap line (Bamboo) is quality product.
Their higher up models are incredible.
Intuos 2 aswell. I only use it for painting things, I use my mouse for general computer stuff.
I generally use a Bamboo Fun, I find it works great when using Photoshop.
I've used the bamboo in a digital arts class; sadly I couldn't get used to it. If I were really into art and drawing I would probably invest in one of the higher-end tablets with the built in screen.
It surprises me that there is only one Tablet manufacturer held in high regard.
Touch-screen monitors usually only support pretty small resolutions and even then they're expensive as shit. Most designers just use Wacom tablets.
Tim Buckley of Ctrl+Alt+Del uses a touchscreen monitor so maybe that's why CAD fails.

Go to a computer recycler more often.
I got an 800x600 touch LCD to serve use displaying a weather radar for $40.
Also, CAD always fails when you are attempting to draft with just a touchscreen.
My notebook is a tablet PC, and I find the tablet part quite useless. It seems more like a useless feature they threw in at the last minute.
HP TX1000, by the way.
Tablet PC's are a waste, they are a novelty in reality.
If you are going to get a tablet get a standalone tablet which is designed for being a tablet.

DIY Cintiq (Wacom with Touchscreen). Real ones run around 2K.
I have this beast in 9 x 12.

I don't see the point in a tablet you draw/write on without a screen to draw/write on below the mouse/stylus. It's like drawing/writing blind, and just makes no sense/seems hard.
ok, enough of this annoying/unfunny shit, i promise.

CAD as in Ctrl+Alt+Del, the webcomic. Not CAD CAD.
Edit: wow that's pretty insane as soon as I posted I was already rated dumb

800x600 you're so awesome that's such a huge resolution

Hell yeah, got ages ago just for the hell of it when I used to do flash.

Walk over to this forum..http://forums.cgsociety.org/forumdisplay.php?f=137
Most if not all of the woks here were done using a tablet without a build in screen.
It's really not that hard if you keep practacing. It's like your first day with a mouse.

Not that it matters since he's banned, but he uses a Wacom Cintiq 21UX, not a touch screen.
Ajacks, isn't the monitor in the middle of your desk a tablet? or am I remembering wrongly
My school gives every single student a laptop because they have the laptop program. They give us a lenovo that is really nice. In fact I just used my pen to write all of this.
