So my friend formatted his computer and installed windows xp. However his computer is very old, and has an integrated intel gpu. We need to find the drivers, but I can't find any driver that works, since I don't even know what the card's name is. Also, we need network drivers but we don't know the network card's name.
Is there a solution?
You could install software that finds outdated drivers on the computer.
Is it a prebuilt system?
Look at the computers hardware using Device Manager.
Pop in an ubuntu live cd, open terminal, type lspci, post results.
Open up run and type in: dxdiag and then write down his pc's manufacture and model. Then type those in to google and you should find what your looking for.
I installed windows7 and now I need to find drivers for "Intel 82845G/GL/GV Graphics" but I can't find them. Can someone give me a link to them? If they don't exist for win7, a link for vista is fine too. Thanks.
Go to the company that manufactored it. They should have drivers.
