Take this with a grain of salt, its not final at all.
Take this with a grain of salt, its not final at all.
As long as this will be in the shop regardless of shape or price it will be a big joke with a very sad punchline.
not like it matters players were just farming to level 90 anyways on their alt wow chracters while they got their main warlock/what ever this is just a quick way for the player to not have to waste time to level and blizz makes money easy just by adding one thing i doubt anyone would pay 60 maybe if it was 40 but heck i don't know how much people would really pay look at tf2 and dota unusuals in tf2 atleast cost 20$ and can go up to 2 grand in dota its 1$ for the worst unusual u can ever get and can get quite expensive.
For the amount of content and grinding a player has to get through, i am going to definitely say this is going to appeal to more casual players who love WOW but can't put in the hours due to work or other responsibilities. Its not bad at all, because it'll mean that we'll get more people to Raid with. Gold Farming Sites will suddenly lose a form of income. There are a few downsides being that people will probably buy it without knowledge of the class they are spec'd in and therefore they need to learn the class ground up. We'll see.
As long as this will be in the shop regardless of shape or price it will be a big joke with a very sad punchline.
Im all for it honestly, well at least the WoD free 1 time 90, because fuck leveling 1-100 I love leveling but once I hit outland it becomes a chore, then when I hit Wotlk I generally stop and take like 15 sleeping pills.
i could probably hire a shady chinese person to grind me to 90 for less than $60
WoW pricing world wide have always been really weird. Good for me, since my currency is the weakest.
this is good / bad i believe, it will hurt bot companies along with power levelers. aka it will remove some RTM
I agree that one of the flaws of WoW is having to start from 1 and eventually get to level 100 after you've done it dozens of times. But a $60 price tag? That's just using an inherent flaw in your game to cash in
But a $60 price tag? That's just using an inherent flaw in your game to cash in
Its not a Final Price Tag. I think they are still testing it.
Its not a Final Price Tag. Nothing is what. They could offer them perodically to yearly subscribers as a bonus
I don't mind this, I rather of spent my time pvp or raiding then leveling up.
Just recruit a friend and grind to 90 in a day and a half cheaper in the long run
I just can't understand why people would want this. I remember years ago, leveling my Druid to 80 over a year or two. It was hard work, but I met some really awesome people along the way + it made the achievement so much more sweeter. In the end, the journey turned out MUCH better than the destination.

I got one character to 60 then went "Yeah, I'm done." and stopped playing. I've never had a game make me feel so dead like WoW.

probably actually worth it, it has to take at least 2 months worth of gameplay to get to lvl 90 from lvl 1 unless you are constantly grinding 24/7

If you buy it, does it give you any gear? or leave you naked in the wind?
Gives you gear.
Definitely done with the game now, I was going to return in WoD. 3/4 of the population are retards as it is, so imagine the influx if this makes it to the shop.

Find a casual or hardcore (depending on your taste) raiding guild and get to know them, then the chances are you'll have people that know what they're doing and in result you'll have more fun. I don't actually see a problem with the paid 90 though, because the level cap will be 100 soon anyway. This upgrade is mainly for people who want to use other classes at endgame and therefore don't want to spend 2 weeks of their time going from 1-90 on content they've probably done 5000 times before.
My main on WoW got pushed through by triple XP, so I hit 90 in less than a week. Then I got heirlooms for another character, who I will treat as my questing character because I feel dirty just ignoring all the quests, even though they may all be similar.
You could either play the game or skip playing 90% of the game by paying 60 €. The direction gaming is going to is pissing me off especially because it's turning into such a fucking blatant cash grab industry where no one actually gives 2 shits about the games. In general I don't even play games with microtransactions, the DLC spam some games have is enough but atleast you get more game there. Microtransactions should be cosmetic only and offer some alternative way to unlock them via the game. Kind of like Valve does it. Apart from that fuck Microtransactions and fuck the companies using them. I don't blame them since it's probably paying off from a marketing perspective but in my eyes it's despiseful and has nothing to do with gaming.
If you buy it, does it give you any gear? or leave you naked in the wind?
Probably some generic low item level blues just to get you started.
I'm guessing WOW is one of those MMOs with a great endgame people would want to skip to. I honestly with a lot of MMOs did away with grindy leveling, and just gave awesome endgame like content entirely.
