Yeah man, this is a great game for those who hated SimCity 5. I'd personally suggest this
The best SimCity imo.
I'm partial to the original myself.

Anyone have any building packs or anything to recommend? I've always found that a daunting task.
Valve you clever bastards. 5 bucks for the best SimCity right after EA fucks up the newest one for the billionth time

Simtropolis has modpack CDs you can get as a "gift" if you donate. The mods are free so if you just found a list of the mods on the disks you could grab them all manually, or find a friend who has the disks.
YES! Could afford this. Went to buy food earlier today, but it rejected my card. I thought it was in negatives.
And yeah. I might be starving, but fuck it, I got SimCity 4. Where we're going, we don't need food!

are you serious lol

Yes. I am. It's just my monthly-budget-for-food-and-video-games-and-shit account that ran dry two days ahead of time because I had to buy birthday gifts for my sister. I'll move some money over from my savings to buy food tomorrow, but banks are closed today, so no dinner tonight. I couldn't afford dinner if I didn't buy this either, mind you.

Credit cards are good for situations where you need money today that you know you'll have tomorrow
Dammit, I just got it two days ago on gamefly digital download for the same price. Wish I waited since I hate having to have gamefly's game client for just that game.

Why did I not know about this earlier. This just made the game way better.
Seriously, this is a no brainer. Buy it.
Yeah Network Addon Mod has so many cool transport options, it's basically a must-have at this point. I'd consider it crucial even for someone wanting to play "vanilla".
Bought this, I've had the vanilla game on disk for years but it'd be nice to have that and rush hour complete with all the patches. Gonna be great to play on my laptop.
For addons
Simtropolis.com
SC4Devotion.com
Simpeg.com
I might get this but I always end up cheating with Sim games.

Yes, but you can very easily get into debt that way.

Credit cards are great. You only get in debt if you abuse them
Yes, but you can very easily get into debt that way.
So get a secured credit card then.

I never visit a bank unless I'm depositing cash or have to make a withdrawal of over $500 (very rarely).

I have to set up a monthly budget to not spend all my savings all the time. I would clearly abuse the shit out of a credit card.

Technically, I do, but Denmark has this incredibly, unfanthomably stupid ID/password system that you have to use, that first of all just plain out doesn't work half the time, and for the rest, is incredibly clumsy and complicated. So I prefer to go to the bank. I also do enjoy actually going places to do shit, and my bank is literally my neighbour.

wow an online utility that requires both a login AND a password I've never heard of that before

It's an ID thingy that has a password that changes for every time you use it and you have to carry a decoder chart with you at all times to use it.
I might get this but I always end up cheating with Sim games.
That's the beauty of these types of games; who cares if you cheat, you mess with it however the bloody hell you want to. :v:
I installed the NAM mod and all the additional transport pieces were quite overwhelming, I think I'll just install the pathfinding fixes and stuff for now... I'm not particularly bothered about crafting beautiful superhighways or changing road textures at the moment.

wow that's actually pretty shit, you're right.
if they're going to go that route they should at least use google authenticator or something
Had the biggest stroke of luck getting this, my birthday money had all been used up but then the item in TF2 that had been sitting on the market for about two months had sold so I got it with that.
The FP colab region was fun while it lasted, even though it was incredibly buggy and cities sometimes corrupted.
Are there any mods that add support for more resolutions?
