Well its not like he's in prison. A suspension is well deserved.
but doing so breaches Twitch’s Terms of Service
nice article, can't find any information where/how/why
nice article, can't find any information where/how/why
He broke a part of the tos that almost says if we dont like it we can get rid of it.
Given how much distress swatting can lead to, I'd say this is a pretty big asshat thing to do, shit's not funny.
he's a dumb twat making light of a serious problem for publicity and ad revenue fuck him
-Nvm didn't read-
he's a dumb twat making light of a serious problem for publicity and ad revenue fuck him
how dare someone make a joke that I don't approve of
how dare someone make a joke that I don't approve of
where is the joke?
where is the joke?
Did you watch the video?
Did you watch the video?
Yes. He fakes getting swatted. That isn't a joke.
Yes. He fakes getting swatted. That isn't a joke.
Oh sorry, forgot you had the final say on humor
Imagine getting banned for an distasteful joke
Oh sorry, forgot you had the final say on humor
haha xd look at me I got swatted!!! lol jk guys!! Hilarious
how dare someone make a joke that I don't approve of
What's funny about anonymous people on the internet funding out where you live and calling the police only for fully armed guys to come knocking down your door ready to stop a non-existent threat? "It's a joke lol it's funny your sense of humor is wrong"
Are you really expecting him to explain why something is funny, before it can officially be classified as a joke? Nobody can actually do that.
Is being swatted really that traumatizing?
Is being swatted really that traumatizing?
I wouldn't imagine so but it's a waste of police time and could potentially get people killed.
Is being swatted really that traumatizing?
When a violent crime is reported, the officers are under the impression that they could be killed in the process of whatever crime they're called out to stop. And they're armed and in body gear for their safety. A mismove from the SWATTED individual or someone at their residence could end with them getting a bullet in them. They're going in with the expectation that the target is both armed and dangerous. It should be no surprise that having your house stormed and guns pointed at you without you having the slightest idea of what's going on can be a traumatizing situation. It's like someone on the street pulled you aside and holds you at knifepoint: except it's not a mugger it's a group of trained officers, you were in the safety of your own home, and the person that instigated the mess is in relative safety and anonymity on the other end of a computer.
dunno if you're up to date on the thread but it was a fake swatting, the streamer was in on it, do you get this?
Even being fake, it perpetuates the idea that swatting = funny since he made a joke out of it. When things are made into jokes they seem less of a serious problem to people.

Promoting this kind of reckless behavior can easily lead to someone being killed. We are talking about swat teams. How long until someone swats somebody and someone dies accidentally? What if someone did it to you and you lost your parents? Would you still be laughing? It's also a waste of tax payers money.
Good. He's lucky that Twitch didn't port over the /911 command from Justin.tv otherwise he'd be in serious shit that much more sooner.

It's kind of when your friends fake serious injuries only to reveal that they're perfectly fine. You don't laugh because they received a bad injury, you laugh because on how easily deceived you were.
he got unbanned because of the huge amount of fanboys complaining so there's that
