• Help Me Remove More Malware.

Yes, I have malware once again :smug: This time it's redirecting me to really awful, boring sites like "GOINGONEARTH.com" which in itself is probably a malware infested website. Whenever I click something I search on any browser, instead of going to that page... it redirects. I googled the issue but I believe there is a better way to fix it. How can you help? problem not solved.
Problem now solved indefinitely
I have Avast Anti-Virus, Malwarebytes and Combofix to get me through it all. Norton is the worst program that does more damage than help.
Magnet to the hard drive or some other sort of destructive file deletion of the entire hard drive. Also for fucks sakes what the hell are you using for your anti-virus because even those will pick this up
AVG twinned with one I don't want to name. :downs:
:colbert: Wipe the hard drive and only use avg avast or MSE because obviously the other one you wont name is the bloody malware that will protect itself from being uninstalled
:colbert: Wipe the hard drive and only use avg avast or MSE because obviously the other one you wont name is the bloody malware that will protect itself from being uninstalled
I do have an external harddrive and a spare 500gig harddrive but formatting is out of the question. I want to feel the malware die without hurting my music too. :mmmhmm:
Well unless you are going to tell us more on what it is doing and or if it installed programs on your computer then how the hell is anything helpful. [editline]8th June 2011[/editline] Not telling us everything will not help
Well it hasn't installed anything. Literally no pop ups have ever appeared unless I'm on a website that I know pop ups will appear "megaupload" or "mediafire" for example. It only occurs with searching. The way I can access the site I want to search is now "Cache" then click the link.
Go do a hijack this scan then post the results
Well I've done scans twice with both my pieces of software. Avg and............ [sp]NORTON 360[/sp]. :v: Both find numerous risks each time I have scanned it, but I'll just keep doing that until I find out what's causing it. Is there any info on a particular malware device to redirect me to "goingonearth.com"?
Go do a hijack this scan then post the results
Google malware goingonearth, I found loads of stuff vaguely about it and some ways to get rid of it. Such as; http://www.pchelpforum.com/pending-hjt-logs/108541-goingonearth-com-malware.html
Okay, for some reason it has gone away during mid-scan of both my anti-viruses. I have no clue... Thankyou for your help. [editline]8th June 2011[/editline] nevermind it's back. Always jump to conclusions I do.
Okay, for some reason it has gone away during mid-scan of both my anti-viruses. I have no clue... Thankyou for your help.
It isnt gone. plus why the fuck do you have 2 antiviruses running at the same time anyways? get rid of one.
Just do a scan with Malwarebytes or something. Don't have more than one antivirus running at the same time.
It isnt gone. plus why the fuck do you have 2 antiviruses running at the same time anyways? get rid of one.
You've kept very calm within this thread, good effort.
It isnt gone. plus why the fuck do you have 2 antiviruses running at the same time anyways? get rid of one.
Okay. Just avast running for now. I have a feeling that there are more than one type of malware devices that are able to perform this shit. I'm uninstalling this piece of shit Norton 360, all it does is slow things down.
You've kept very calm within this thread, good effort.
I am screaming at my screen
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
I am screaming at my screen
Relax... it's only a bit of malware. :smug:
Relax... it's only a bit of malware. :smug:
want me to change my stance back to wipe your hard drive :colbert:
tbh. Ask your local learning provider for a free copy of XP, you're in the UK so this is easy to do.
tbh.
Correct. Better than a mac though.

Agreed its not a solution, but having noticed he was in fact from the UK I thought I'd let him know. Its a workaround should he despise Vista as much as the rest of the population of the earth.
This is not a solution [editline]8th June 2011[/editline] also seriously hijack this log or malwarebytes. do both and stop chatting here looking like a idiot.
I'm doing it.... I just want to find out if anyone knows what exactly has caused this.
I'm doing it....
Its a workaround should he despise Vista as much as the rest of the population of the earth.
It's poor, but I'm not much of a gamer anymore nor do I use programs requiring a really good interface. The one good thing though, is that Robert Fripp made the soundscapes and atmospheres for it. :pcgaming:
I'm doing it.... I just want to find out if anyone knows what exactly has caused this.
You did. You're the user.
This malware is very inconsistent. It now isn't redirecting anything.
It does not take 20 minutes to run hijack this and post a log [editline]8th June 2011[/editline] sorry 34 minutes
