"The MTA server has an increased cap of 1024 players"
Hoyl fuck
Yesssssssssssssssss.
1024 players.... Jesus.... :O
Good god, 1024 players
1024 players
more like MMO Auto: San Andreas
Does this work with the steam version?
Custom Fonts: At long last, you’re no longer stuck with the default fonts that ship with MTA. You can now import and create text for any .ttf through Lua.
yes finally
i feel gtasa lacked classic fonts such as comic sans and jokerman
goodbye forever SA:MP
IS it even possible for the average internet connection to handle 1000 connections?
I remember when I thought that MTA was shit and SAMP is THE SHIT.
Might sound stupid now, but remember, all MTA had back then was racing, while SAMP had everything you could get your unimaginative brain to think of. Except that SAMP was shit in the technical perspective.
Holy fuck.
I can't imagine a full server.
1024? oh shit we should organize wars 512 VS 512. that would be pretty awesome if you'd ask me.
Only problem is the chat.
If the netcode can handle 1024 players then surely it can handle 1024 pedestrians. Hopefully that's coming soon...
If I recall correctly, MTA:SA already has support for pedestrians.
I think some gamemodes do but they're clientside and not synchronized between players, so they just fall over and die when you hit them and don't damage or affect the car at all.
1024, damn son.
I loved SA:MP and never thought more of MTA but now seeing this update I'm keen for some 1024 player fun.
Too bad 1024 people dont play this game.
I really want to know if it's stable to support 1024 players.
Does anyone know if this mod has any good custom gamemodes yet other than freeroam, RPG, TDM and Zombies?

Not really combine sa:mp the other people from mta:sa and you really get more than 1024.
This encouraged me to reinstall GTA: San Andreas and download this instead of SA-MP.
Its going to be piss easy(er) to cheat in though due to the server not doing much and its the clients that do the work.

MTA has some built in anticheat support.
As for people asking about the network stability, I was in the final betatest yesterday. It hit up to about 170 players at once, and the vast majority clustered around the SF Airport. There was also streaming shoutcast radio active.
My connection speed fluctuated between 30-100kb/s down, 15-50kb/s up. Perfectly acceptable values for anyone not on dial-up!
(note that voice chat adds a HUGE overhead on top of this, it was disabled during the beta test.)
Maybe I should go out and buy GTA:SA sometime
I am going to look for my GTASA disc, anyone want to try to find a 1024 later tonight or tomorrow?
Both SA:MP and MTA have always worked that way, nothing has changed with this but the limit
Is there a technical reason for this? That sounds really stupid.
