• "Unable to connect" on changing router password

Basically the powers that be decided to update to a new router and password on the network I normally use, I've got the new password but so far every time I've tried to connect my main computer gives me an error stating that Windows was unable to connect to the router, if I create a wireless profile with the SSID and password (the SSID is the same as the old so this goes for both creating a new profile and updating the existing one), then attempting to connect results in my being told that the information is incorrect (it's of course not as I'm connected on another computer and my phone). For the time being I'm able to connect to the guest access network with no issues at all, but I can't get connected to the main network. I've already tried restarting both the computer and the router, deleting and making new wireless profiles, even changing the SSID and attempting to connect, any idea what might be the issue or what I can try to get it fixed? Sorry if this is the wrong section.
using 192.168.0.1? usually a restart of the router works for me but you've already tried that so idk. who are TPTB, your parents?
I was going to say yes to all but I just had to restart both of them (power outage), and now everything appears to be working fine.
