I mean, I know it takes a sword and plunges it through the heart of my files, but does it affect the OS in any way? I have an acer laptop, by the way. Giving this one to a friend due to my new desktop getting here.
How exactly are you going to perform this factory reset?
A Factory Reset restores everything to the state when you first turned on the laptop.
So yes, it will affect the OS.
Resets the entire OS and most likely everything on the hard drive to, to how it was before you touched it.
It [b]resets[/b] it to how it was when it came out of the [b]factory[/b] when you first open it.
