• Any news on The Sims 4?

I was playing The Sims 3 for the first time in years yesterday, and a thought came to me. The Sims 3 came out in 2009. Will the fourth game ever release? Is it in development? Are they still fiddling around with the third game? I love The Sims, and it would be amazing if they were to release a new game with up to date graphics. Anyone know what's going on with that?
Fall 2014 if Google is correct. They need to poop out 2~ more expansions, then they are about even on TS 1 2 and 3 so i guess that makes sense.
What's wrong with 3's graphical qualities?
They're still releasing expansion packs at a whopping £40, the main game didn't even cost that.
Treyarch made The Sims?
They've literally started adding items you don't have into the catalog in-game, and when you click it say, "this item must be bought from the Sim store for X credits, click here to buy"
It will probably be a framework at first, for all the expansions and DLC's to come.

I've given up any hope of ever reinstalling this (for the ∞th time) because each time something new gets released it turns out to be a massive disappointment because it's either not compatible with other (EA Games) addon content (horses giving you wedding gifts, etcetera), it ruins gameplay and difficulties or it was of below-standard quality and full of bugs and glitches and whatnot.

Well jeez, these expansions are ridiculously priced. You'd have to be a rich motherfucker to afford a full game. Why can't they just have all of the expansions that were in the Sims 2 in 3? Well, I know why of course. But god damnit. Could they just be original for a game? Hopefully they include some content from 3's expansions and stick it in the Sims 4. But that's probably not going to happen. We'll probably get the same overpriced double dozen expansion packs. Regardless, I'll probably buy The Sims 4 whether I like it or not. If it's like 3 and it's pretty, I can't resist.
I'm thinking Sims 4 will have multiplayer similar to SimCity.

I want faces that don't remind me of TES: Oblivion

Each player can only create 1 sim, you must always be online to play, the job you get will actually benefit the global sim society
Each player can only create 1 sim, you must always be online to play, the job you get will actually benefit the global sim society
That would be cool. I wonder if they could make a virtual economy. I doubt they would, because like all economies, it could crash and burn. But it would be interesting, no? Also, I feel like The Sims probably shouldn't go multiplayer anyway. It wouldn't play right, and even if they did make Sims online, it would be adapted into something totally different. Not that different can't be good, but I'm afraid of what it would become.
Sims 3 was deliberately made less realistic than Sims 2 so I doubt they'd do it, the § economy makes no sense anyway, §4,000 to buy an apartment but §50 for a cake?
