Yeah I hope, anything they can do to make Mirror's Edge live up to it's potential is good in my books. I suppose as well that after eight years a few extra months more isn't too long in comparison.

I recently played the original Mirror's Edge and, well, it got repetitive quite fast. Luckily, it wasn't a very long game, it took around 6-7 hours I think. With their plans to make the game open world and stuff I expect it to be longer than the original, so I wonder how will they keep the game fresh ?
Take as long as you need, i DO hope they overhaul the anims though.. the very little i could see was pretty off putting, anims being too instant / stiff and you barely saw the rest of faith body
I always see delays as positive now.
I think this article is implying that they're moving it so it doesn't have to compete with as many titles rather than because they couldn't finish the game on time though.
I'm okay with this. I'd rather have it sooner, but I'm still buying it day 1 nonetheless. More time for Deus Ex then.
