Some people like myself have middle names. We ought to have the right to use our names may it be middle name or surname.
Wow who cares, surely all his fans are going to know he has a first name or why not put the name he wants in brackets like I've seen some people doing.

I know plenty of people who go by their middle names.

And he's known as Salman. It's also possible he's trying to distance himself from the name Ahmed for some reason. Overall who really cares - facebook usually let's you have any name you want to have, if you're unknown.
