Oh goddamn you Microsoft. Now I'll have to get an Xbox one.

EA's not known for doing exclusives to one console. Worst case scenario, this is a timed exclusive and will come out a few months later on other platforms.

Much like how WiiU got the Deus Ex: HR Director's Cut thing for just that console, which supposedly fixed and added stuff, but kept to WiiU, forcing anyone who wants to experience the new content to get a WiiU. I agree, I don't think EA would make it exclusive since money is money.

I love the original, but there's no way in hell I'm buying a console solely based on one game.

M$ announced 15 exclusives at #XboxReveal, so there should be 14 others to try to convince you.
Looking forward to E3. Hoping it'll be there.
"In Mirror's Edge 2, the player will take the role of a new runner, Adam Shepard, an ex-US-special-operative with extensive training in free-running, firearm use, and hand-to-hand combat. With Mirror's Edge 2, we took a look back at what we did right, and what we did and wrong- and made it a priority to give players more of what they want, and to improve where we made mistakes. Combat was a missed opportunity we felt. More could have been done to turn Mirror's edge from not only a fast-paced free-running game, but into a new blend- a fast-paced free-running action-shooter. Being more experienced than Faith from the first game, Shepard is more capable of using firearms while running. Here we see Shepard swinging on a bar with one hand, while holding a shotgun in the other- if he manages to kill a target while swinging, he will gain extra experience for the kill- which you can spend on additional perks, such as double jumps, fall-damage immunity, and commando pro. We feel this will act as a strong incentive to get the player to engage in more combat than in the previous game. We also felt in Mirror's Edge one, the "runner vision" mechanic did an excellent job of guiding players through the level. But we still felt more could have been done to lead players through the levels. Now, a new mechanic known as the "runner trail" has been introduced. This is a red arrow that will show Adam Shepard the best path through the levels. If the player still manages to stray too far away, the camera will actually re-center on the correct path."
I don't expect anything great to come out of this E3. Which means I'll either be pleasantly surprised or justified. Though it wouldn't hurt to see a Mirror's Edge 2. This year should be far more exciting than the last few years at least.
