• Is my GPU being bottlenecked?

I have a Sapphire 5770 1gb, and I'm wondering if it is being bottlenecked by the rest of my system. My specs: Gigabyte ga-ma-770t-ud3p 4gb DDR3 Cooler Master 500W Phenom II x2 550 (not overclocked) I am concerned because my card isn't doing as well as it should. People playing the same games as me at higher settings and resolutions seem to be getting more FPS than I do. I am mostly wondering about my CPU.
Your CPU would be the bottleneck in that build.
I'm 99% sure you're not being bottlenecked. A phenom II X2 550 should be doing great
I plan on upgrading a little by the summer, so I'll probably get a new CPU anyway. I think the most my motherboard can handle is a Phenom II x4 955, and I want to get a 5850, so would those two be ok together?
what res are you playing at and what FPS are you getting
You should be alright.
what res are you playing at and what FPS are you getting
I play everything at 1366x768, and I get 20-30 playing fallout 3, where I should be getting more. I should be able to at least play crysis on medium-high, but I can only play it on low, and still get around 30 fps. For source games, I stay over 100 usually, but in Gmod I get 30-40.
yea there shouldn't be any bottleneck whatsoever
