what a badass trailer
Cringe-worthy. That animation was awful.
Did PCGamesN seriously spell coincidentally as "coinsidently"?
Did PCGamesN seriously spell coincidentally as "coinsidently"?
To my horror it would seem I did indeed. I've just bought and moved onto a new PC and the keyboard is taking some time to get used to (Logitech G710+). I've fixed the typo and big thanks for the heads up.
Cringe-worthy. That animation was awful.
do you mean the facial animations? cause they were bad yea... but the player animations were really good
I need a kawaii juggernaut bobblehead IRL
It could have made use of classical music in a much better, minimalistic way. Subtle shots of the bank heist from start to finish, with slow-motion effects come to mind, something along those lines. It was average up until the cops showed up, where the generic tension music kicked in, then it just became pretty bad. It's nitpicking, but it felt like the whole thing was made by an amateur in SFM. A lot of wasted potential for what could have been a pretty fantastic trailer.
do you mean the facial animations? cause they were bad yea... but the player animations were really good
What facial animation? Also the walk at the start was horrendous. Side note, if you watch right until the end there's a little bonus clip.
Walk at the start, people dropping from explosions, the garbage facial animations, and ugh that brown as fuck color palette, everything was pretty shit. Music was obnoxious too, not really epic in my opinion. Him tripping backwards and dying at the end was so stupid too, who would do that? Also the swat team would just have taken his money immediately even if he hadn't been an idiot and fallen off the roof. Whole thing looks like it was made in GMOD/SFM.

Did they make that trailer in Garry's Mod?

Heck even that joke style of animation where the guy making the animation would just strap thrusters to a ragdoll's limbs and then physgun it in the direction he wanted for "walking" looked at least less stiff than this.
I'm gonna take a shot in the dark and say that they used the in-game engine to make this trailer. I suppose that gives them an excuse but god damn why not use something else like Maya

Holy shit, Giancarlo Esposito is in this game? Why has nobody told me?
Holy shit, Giancarlo Esposito is in this game? Why has nobody told me?
I'm assuming you also haven't seen The Dentist trailer Go watch it Right now Here

Admittedly that would require them learning to animate in SFM, and if this is how well they can animate in a program they already know how to use, we probably wouldn't want to see how they can animate in SFM.

Oh look, so they're finally doing new heists? Although, aren't these being developed by 505 Games, instead of Overkill?
Oh look, so they're finally doing new heists? Although, aren't these being developed by 505 Games, instead of Overkill?
505's the publisher, Starbreeze/Overkill are the devs
It feels kinda weird having to pay for lots of little DLC when the main game itself recycled in a lot of places
It feels kinda weird having to pay for lots of little DLC when the main game itself recycled in a lot of places
Hey, four times Trustee bank is four different heists! I think the title of the heist itself is a fucking insult for some reason. Like they have to remind us that the Payday crew doesn't deal only in narcotics or shit banks anymore. And I would've to pay extra to finally get a massive bank robbery in a game whose whole point in the first place was to steal shit instead of carrying narcotics and sucking the dicks out of several contacts from the stupid "real" series. I seriously dislike Overkill now.

In the stupid real action tie in web series, they decided that now five massive, super rich thieves have to do job for other people which all revolve around you doing their shit work and them giving you a cut.
Well yes, game became more than Bank Scene From Heat: The Game, what's so bad about that?
More is an overstatement. Instead of stealing money to be rich, you're moving drugs around town or wrecking malls for reputation. Since release, everyone wanted some high profile heists, and I think it's unfair that all of them ends up being DLC one year later down the line.
