so i'm getting an i5 2500K and i used AMD last cpu generation so i'm at a loss for how intel motherboards are today, i hear one brand is having defective mobo issues so i guess i want to stay away from that.
my budget is at $150, if you think i need to go slightly over this please let me know, and yes i plan on overclocking. I'm also going to use 4 gb of ram and just one gpu along with only one dvd drive if that matters.
If you know of any good newegg combo deals on a mobo, 4gb of ram, and a 2500k you can post that too.
the last intel setup i used was a pentium 4 so i'm at a loss browsing newegg right now
Any p67 motherboard should do, just choose one with the features you want. There's two others which are h67 and something else, one doesn't support OCing and the other is unnecessary.

H67 is for using the IGP
Z68 which isn't out yet will allow both overclocking and use of the IGP
If you give us a budget we can make the whole build for you
