• How can i find out if someone is drinking?

Recently my dad has come home a bit drowzy. He isn't allowed to drink cause of his damaged liver and enlarged goal bladder. I need to find out if he is or not for his safety. And i just don't want to loose him. Cause if he hits a certain Liquor limit he will die a slow painful death.
Ask him.
Asking most likely will not work, for he can simply say "no" to keep drinking his precious alcohol.
Maybe it's just me, but I'm pretty sure liquor fucks you up on a long-term basis, for the most part. As in, if one drinks x amount, they will have irreparably damaged the participating internal organs (specifically ,the liver), subsequently increasing their risk of death, even if they quit. If that's the case with your dad, yeah, you should stop him from drinking regardless, but there's not really a "liquor limit" to be had at this point. And, asking him straight up would probably be your best course of action. If not, notice things like, if his breath smells like it ever (or gum, all the time).
I'm dead serious. My father was trying his best to quit smoking. He's on a gum that removes part of the addiction, but of course he has to do the rest and avoid the urge. One day he was less irritable than usual and his breath smelled of smoke, so I asked him politely and calmly if he had been smoking. He admitted it to me and tried harder to quit. I'm not saying every father is honest, but an up-front question (not accusingly) is usually the first thing to do.
Yeah, I'd say that just asking him would be the best course of action. If you're not accusing or mean about it, I'd think that it'd go fine.
Usually if someone is drunk enough to be tipsy, you can smell it on their breath. Ask him for a kiss? Heck, even a hug would let you be close enough.
Drink his piss, check for anything that tastes funny. But in all seriousness just smell his breath.
after he goes to bed open up a beer and let it sit on the counter. When he wakes up in the morning hold the stale beer under his nose, if he pukes he's been drinking
You'll smell it if it's there. Maybe he's just drowsy?
