Looking for a good 144hz monitor that isn't too expensive. Needs to be 1920x1080 and around 22-24 inch
Budget?
Monoprice has some good prices for 144 monitors.
Damn, monoprice has a 144hz for 160? I just spent 330 on a benq a few months ago
bought an asus 248qe for 250, whats your budget?
There is more to a monitors than its refresh rate, if you buy a very cheap one you might get 144hz, but shitty colours and what not.
Also some monitors claim to be 144 hz but only support HDMI which is limited to 60 I believe

Did they release the new version already?
144hz monitors will specify if they have HDMI 2, else you'll be using a supplied DVI cable. I quite like my BenQ XL2411Z, but it isn't a budget item.
Did they release the new version already?
1.4b could do 1080@120 at least, not sure about 144. 2.0 should be able to do 144 no problem though, which is what all the 900 series cards have. [editline]31st August 2015[/editline] Or display port should work. DP has have 1080@144 since the dark ages.
Displayport support or no monitor at all I'd say
Displayport support or no monitor at all I'd say
displayport is great, but you shouldn't choose a monitor that has less features you want just because of the port, so long as your GPU supports the ports it does use
I can't recommend the ASUS VG248QE enough. 144Hz, DisplayPort and LightBoost, which I got for about £200-250. A Highly recommended panel everywhere - feel free to look up a review. And I definitely recommend getting LightBoost set up - the antiblur it brings gives a level of clarity not seen since the days of CRT monitors. It sounds like a snake oil feature - it did to me - but it really does make a huge difference. http://www.blurbusters.com/zero-motion-blur/lightboost-faq/
