• Ports open on SRCDS server, nobody can join
    14 replies, posted
I have set up an SRCDS server before, players were able to download my maps, and join it. I've recently re-installed my server due to loudouts not being available. I port-forward with uTorrent using the port 27017, and canyouseeme shows that my ports are open. My server is for Team Fortress 2, and players are not able to join my server. I've had SourceMod on my old server, and the new server I've set up doesn't have sourcemod installed yet.
You did what with what?????
Look it up, many other game servers port-forward using uTorrent. I set my SRCDS to work with 27017 as the port, and so for uTorrent's connection settings. It's worked before for me.
uTorrent tells your router to open a port using UPNP, and that's an extremely unreliable solution for a lot of reasons. You need to go into your router's setting page and setup port forwarding properly, so that the setting will at least stay persist.

try http://www.canyouseeme.org/ as has been said, UPnP can be unreliable. Also make sure you have your firewall open for SRCDS ports / disabled.

My firewall is not preventing uTorrent or SRCDS, and my router's ports are not forwarded.
Try opening ports 27015 to 27020, then run your server on port 27016, see if that works for you
I can't port-forward using my router, I'm not going to say why. also, I can only open one port using uTorrent.
try a UPnP port mapper http://sourceforge.net/projects/upnp-portmapper/ i dunno if this ones any good
I don't know why, but when I port-forward 27017, canyouseeme doesn't detect the port being open.
Uhhh? Don't you need a token now from Steam. http://steamcommunity.com/dev/managegameservers http://dathost.net/blog/how-to-create-and-use-gameserver-login-tokens-gslts-for-your-dedicated-csgo-server/
