Looking for an operating system (like Android, etc) that can be installed on x86 machines. I am investigating whether or not I can convert my old laptop into a DIY hackey tablet, but the only issue that is bugging me is that installing a regular Windows install onto it would be criminal, having used Android phones/tablets, the way they handle touch input is very nice, and I would very much like to try and recreate that. After googling around, I am having not much luck in getting answers about this, one route would be to use a premade Adobe AIR package, although there are not very easy to modify unless you are a coding genius.
Tried Win8 yet?
