Certainly a weird update.
I have to say the change is nice for me. I never went to many hostage maps except cs_assault and the hostages would constantly get stuck in doors and generally fail to keep up. Cost me the round several times too.

The funny thing is, is that it doesn't change a single thing.
Sometimes you walk slightly slower, that's it.
You can still use any weapon, you can still jump and crouch and such, you just have a bit of orange on your screen.
They really need to make it so you can only use weapons like smg's or pistols when carrying.

Don't get me wrong I have put over 200 hours into CS GO so far but the game really does reek of console port, I mean the glass in cars ain't breakable, barrels can no longer be blown out the way [e.g Long double doors on de_dust2] etc. The game is quite beautiful in some aspects but I can't believe they took out the physics from source.
Anyway, Nice to see this implemented, wonder how it will play out, people hardly rescued hostages in cs_italy, wonder if they will try now.

Generally I think CS:GO is a lot less visually exciting than it could have been.
And there's a lot less attention to detail as well.

A lot of this shit has nothing to do with the console version, it comes from pros complaining because flying barrels and shattering glass disrupts their ~pro play~ or some dumb shit
The barrels were really fucking annoying. You used to jump on them and just get stuck inside them and shit.
