Hi guys, just wanting to see if anyone knows how I would do this. Googled about a bit, nothing turned up, so here we go.
I've got a Dell XPS17 with a Samsung Syncmaster 2043BW Monitor hooked up to the HDMI out on my laptop. The laptop screen resolution is 1600x900, and the monitor's resolution is 1680x1050. What I want to do is have the larger display for my main display, with the windows bar and stuff, but I want games to load on the laptop screen (much better quality). Graphics card is an nVidia GT555m.
Any help or ideas would be much appreciated!
Uuh, thanks for Winner RocketSnail... :L
nope.
Not possible then naw?
I've also noticed that my laptop has a dead pixel... Are they normall red?
When something goes in fullscreen, it's on the main display. The main display needs to have the windows bar, what you can do though it hide it if you really not want to see it.
If you wan't the task bar on a secondary display, the nyou need to buy displayfusion. It's not cheap for what it is, but I can tell you that now that i have it, i do not regret buying it.

just unlock the taskbar and drag to other monitor.

Awesome mate cheers.
Next problem...
There's a red dot on my laptop screen, what do?
Stuck pixel? Try physically massaging it (Not too hard though) and running a flashing colour gif in that area for a long period of time (Overnight?)

Ow my eyes :L
Just out of curiosity, why does this running a flashing thing reset a stuck pixel? I am considering buying jscreenfix since it's only 2 quid, worth it?

It is almost like bruteforcing it. I guess.
It sends so many signals to it it tries and tries and tries to change. Until it changes.
use actual multiple monitors, it is the best software for multiple monitors. I'm using it too.

So how exactly do I go about "massaging" my screen to get rid of this stuck pixel? And is that pixel more likely to die/get stuck again in the future?

The taskbar dosnt need to be on one screen only
Sorry about size :S

I got displayfusion, it's pretty awesome apart from the displayfusion taskbar colour, is there any way to change it to a Win7 Aero colour?
Buy it? its only 25$ and i find it essential for multi-monitoring
Fair enough. Probably will when I get paid next week.

Its even lifetime and will be valid for all future updates.
Inb4, I'm not associated with them, just supporting good software
Yeah can't blame you, it's pretty boss.
The only non-gimmick feature in DisplayFusion or Ultramon is the multi-monitor wallpaper tool, which isn't even necessary.
I quite like it :L
Since my monitors are different sizes my background would have a black band around it on the larger one, this fixes it
