Hello, it's me again with the same thing. The first build. Me and my parents had a deal for the budget. If the marks for my grade 10 report card is a 85+ I can get a PC of my choice. No budget restraints. As well I finally got the link public. And please, please don't tell me to get some $3,000 i7. I just want a good gaming PC for source games, BC2, and some of the future releases
So here: http://secure.newegg.ca/WishList/PublicWishDetail.aspx?WishListNumber=13316285
Will all these work or some parts won't fit with other.
Do I need more RAM or it's fine the way it is?
Any changes to get me a optimal performance.
You could run a 4850 on a 400W... And why do you got 3X1GB RAM and 1x1GB RAM on that wishlist :psyduck:
I don't believe a 1gig ram stick and a 2gig will work together, it'll just revert to 2gb. Also, if you have no budget, why not getting something around 1-1.5k, so you won't have to upgrade anytime soon?
My suggestion: at least 4gb of ram, a faster (quad core) processor, and a better video card.
my bad.... me and my friend were checking out which was a better deal, 3 sticks of 1GB or 1 2gb and 1 1gb

changed the RAM to 2x 2GB. Any suggestions for a CPU and Gfx card?
People here are still going to give you a <3000$ build, its pointless to do anything more. Especially for the games you are playing.

Get this unless you're aiming at unlocking two cores on that Athlon.

We got more in common than at first glance.
What is the difference between Cav green and black? I trust WD then Samsung

Leave your fanboyism elsewhere, please. The spinpoint F3 is widely considered to be one of the best hard drives on the market at the moment.
That doesn't answer my question on Cav green and black
The caviar green runs at 5400 rpm and has a 16mb cache, while the black runs at 7200 rpm and has a 64mb cache.
Spinpoint f3.

Go for the Phenom II.
Can you link me TicTac.. IDK which one is good
If you have no budget, SSD up in that shit. More expensive but, as I've heard from every person whose talked about it, way better.

It alot faster, but the price for it right now makes it more of a luxury. A HDD will work fine.

He says he has no budget, besides you can get a decent 30GB drive for £80 to use as a boot drive and you will see a huge improvement.
A simple HDD is enough, so you can wait for an SSD when it will come cheaper.
I'm not interested SSD
