• Get "higher" definition on the 360, without a flatscreen/plasma?

Okay, Facepunch. Let me first tell you how I had this thing setup before. I have a tiny monitor, a PC monitor, which I had my 360 plugged into using the following device: Let's just call it an HD-box. It allowed me to get full resolution, and rxcellent quality, on that tiny screen. I could run the full 1080p resolution, with no problem. Here's the setup: Now, of course I get top-notch image quality. But the size is making me pissed. I would love to be able to get full resolution games on a regular TV. Not a flatscreen, not a plasma. Just those big, bulky things. Woud there be a way to make the HD box work on the TV as well? I'm thinking possibly a VGA-Scart, from the box to the TV, and the 360 plugged into the box. Do you guys think it'd work? Or do you have any other workarounds I could use?
A normal TV can't display HD content.
Neither can't a 16 inch Computer monitor, but using this HD Box I still get full HD :downs:
uh tvs/monitors don't work like that
What? You want evidence?
Why are you so secretive about what that device is? It's not like you're the only one who has one or knows what it can do. I would just use an HDFury for that purpose anyways.
Unless your 16" screen has 1920x1080 resolution it's not full HD.
What? You want evidence?
well I'd sure like to see how you're managing to display 1920x1080 on a screen that doesn't support it [editline]02:30PM[/editline] ninjas getting in within 3 seconds
Not sure how I would explain it, but when I enable 1080p, it works like a charm, so I'm just guessing it's full HD if it even remotely works.
Eh, last time I heard, 360 didn't have 1080p.
Don't all 360 games run at 720P or less anyway? [editline]02:58PM[/editline]
Unless your 16" screen has 1920x1080 resolution it's not full HD.

Don't all 360 games run at 720P or less anyway?
Isn't that really small, compared to computer monitors.
Not sure how I would explain it, but when I enable 1080p, it works like a charm, so I'm just guessing it's full HD if it even remotely works.
It's not HD, it's the tv's native resolution with anti aliasing.
Isn't that really small, compared to computer monitors.
Now adays yes. 720p: 1240x720 ( I think ) 1080p = 1920x1080 And no most 360 games run at 1080p. Except for skate :argh:
This magic device creates pixels from nowhere.
Eh, last time I heard, 360 didn't have 1080p.
[img_thumb]http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/205/61636569.jpg[/img_thumb] That looks like "1080p" to me. What do you think?
Yeah it's upscaled HD on most games. Plus, just because you can select 1080p doesn't mean it's actually 1080p.
It upscales to 1080. Damn ^
Getting HD on a normal TV is impossible. To cut to the chase, the normal TV simply doesn't have more pixels than 640x480 (depending on your aspect ratio) and so it's physically impossible to display full HD. In fact it's also highly likely that what you're viewing isn't full HD either, considering I've never seen a consumer 16 inch computer monitor which does 1080p or even 720p, I'm guessing you're just seeing the effects of downscaling from a larger resolution. Regardless what you are trying to do is completely and utterly impossible, at best you'll get 480p over 480i.

Yup. [editline]04:47PM[/editline]
yep, you've got scammed.
And how can you judge that from looking at a piece of plastic?

God-damn you're thick. It simply doesn't work like that.
There is no physical way that moniter can display full 1080p, there simply isn't enough pixels on the moniter.

it's actually 15" and 1024x768 [editline]03:52PM[/editline] ninjas ffffffff
